Quality Assurance Department

Dear New Students:

You have chosen to commence one of the critical phases of your adult life; pursuing higher education and earning your degree at The Moneague College. Studying at this institution will expose you to our revered curricular and co-curricular standards and ethos which will enrich your lives. Welcome and Congratulations!

The Moneague College Quality Assurance Department (MCQAD) exists to maintain and improve the desired curricular and co-curricular service standards offered on our three campuses. The unit is led by Mr. Andre Grant- Quality Assurance Officer, Ms. Natalee Nembhard-Asst. Quality Assurance Officer, with administrative support provided by Ms. Natayne Roosevelt.

As a unit, we strive to ensure that the levels of academic achievement attained by the College’s graduates are continuously improved. To do this, we liaise with our national accreditation body, the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) and other external assessment bodies such as the University of West Indies Quality Assurance Unit (UWIQAU), the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica (CCCJ), and the Teachers' Colleges of Jamaica (TCJ) among others. By maintaining these external relationships, the unit ensures that the degree you earn at the College is accredited and venerated externally, whether you persist on your higher education journey or seek employment.

Presently, programme accreditation is at the heart of what we do, however, we recently applied for Institutional Accreditation via the UCJ. This will make our institution and your degrees globally competitive.

Your input is critical in what we do as a unit, in fact, student achievement of learning outcomes is the foundation on which we assess our performance. To learn more about the unit and your role in the process, you can visit our office on the Literacy Block.
